Andre 3000 of Outkast is free on bond after police charged him with driving 109 mph on a highway in suburban Atlanta. Andre Benjamin, was clocked speeding in a 65 mph zone in his Porsche south of Atlanta, approximately 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

33-year-old Benjamin was released on a $1,200 property bond; with a court date of April 29. According to policereports, Benjamin told them he was going so fast because he missed an exit and had to turn around. How does that sound to you?

Andre has been filling dance halls and clubs for many years now, as the Grammy-winning Outkast; Andre 3000 and Big Boi have put out six platinum-plus albums, including their hit double-release "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below." And not forget their film, Idlewild, that set records during the first showing.

Andre is also the fatehr of a child by Erykka Badhu, but the two never married.

Porsche cars are built to go fast, and you haven't broken any law until someone catches you...and then it depends who you are (diplomatic immunity? masonic?)... if you get caught, you pay for the next policeman's ball.
