Susan Boyle - The Freak Show

I like Susan Boyle  and I had the same goose bumps that most the world has since experienced after seeing her peformance on Britains Got Talent and via YouTube videos.

But I think that Susan Boyle is being treated like a freak show just because she doesn't look like the average singer on the block.

What we are fogetting of course is that those singers already had their makeovers.

Susan Boyle however is being advised by  Amanda Holden and others that she should remain the same, not change a thing. No make over for Susan Boyle!

But their motivations are not honourable.

They want to keep the 'freak factor' in the show.

The fact is when Susan Boyle stepped on that stage the judges and the audience looked at her and thought 'rubbish' before she even opened her mouth which is why when she did start singing their throats were in their mouth!

This lack of expectation made Susan Boyles performance even more spectacular as she exceeded them in spades. She knocked spots off every other competitor and her voice rang out with a very unique purity. It was amazing.

I hope that Susan Boyle does whatever the heck she likes with her image and the Amanda Holden's of the world can mind their own beeswax.

Susan Boyle is not a freak show and if she wants a make over like every other star on the block she should darn well have one.

If she wants to remain the same as she is now, then that's ok too as it's her choice and the judgemental priggs will have to deal with that.

Whether Susan has a makeover or not, her album will be the first I have bought in years and I don't give a rats ass what she looks like.

Even with make up, she's still a munter though, isn't she???
