I don't mean any disrespect in my title 'whacko jacko'.
I have written it this way to illustrate the way the media is turning heel and running now that Michael Jackson is dead. 'Whacko Jacko' being their nick name for Michael Jackson.
The press have ridiculed, vilified, and condemned Michael Jackson for years. He's been accused of being a Paedophile relentlessly and he's had to answer to charges from alleged victims.
His plastic surgery, white skin, odd love life and children were all fodder for a gossip hungry public and a greedy press only too willing to give them what they wanted.
Yet now Michael Jackson is dead for the next few days and weeks we are going to see the most hypocritical coverage ever as the same press that hounded him and made his life miserable pay tribute to him and his talent.
Will I remember where I was the day Michael Jackson died? No.
It's always sad when someone dies but he's no more interesting to me now than he was when he was alive. Unlike the hypocrites crying in his memory, I never bought the papers that rubbished his character and talent when he was alive and I don't intend to do so now.
No disrespect to Michael's family or his children intended.
