Good Morning America is scheduled to air a tell all interview with Jon Gosselin of Jon and Kate Plus Eight on Sept. 8.
The interview is being promoted as to not cast Kate in a favorable light, tell about his relationship with his new girl as well as address the recent call to the house by the local police over custody issues.
What gets me is that these arguments are the type of fights that every couple with kids going through a divorce goes through. Don't believe me? Hang out on the sidelines of the soccer field during any given day of the week and listen to the gossip.
Why, then, does the media further the fights by showcasing it on tv? Gosselin is just as guilty as Kate in the faults of their marriage. Gosselin has done nothing more over the last few months then parade around holding up to the image of "playboy."
On the flip side, Kate has had no problem holding up the image of "innocent victim."
Meanwhile, who wins in these type of fights? It certainly is not the kids. At what point does the two of them stop being selfish, get themselves and the kids into counseling to deal with these life issues and put a stop to the media attention.
For two people who complain about media coverage, they have no problem continuing the show and scheduling interviews with every talk show and magazine around.
I, personally, think the story is getting old. The kids are too precious to be drugged through this fiasco by their parents. If they are spending this much time and effort trying to convince the average American that each one of them is more the victim, what are they doing with their kids?
Of course, I have to admit that I will be one of those viewers on Sept. 8. I have to have something to complain about, right?
