How Much Is Your Virginity Worth?
by Beth Kade(6)Recently there has been news of women selling their virginity to the highest bidder. Most recently was a grad student named Natalie Dylan. The student has inspired many girls to do the same selling their self on the open market like a prostitute.
Dylan was offered $3.7 million to give up her virginity, at least that was the highest bid she received. In the end, the grad student only took home the $250,000 deposit after the bidder reconciled with his wife.
$250,000?
I am thinking that is not bad take in for never even actually given up her virginity. Don't worry, she is going on the auction block again. The girl is said to have a book deal, movie deal and a t.v. show in the works. All for giving up the first time she has sex?
From a woman's perspective, the first time is painful, awkward and every other horrible word to describe it. But selling it, just seems trashy.
I jokingly told my husband that I lost A LOT of money wasting it on him!
Of course his response, "i wouldn't call it wasted. no amount of money could equal the pleasure i gave you!"
Were we in the same room? Ha! Just playing.
I can imagine the lifestyle I would have now if I chose the money. Yes, girls, you would have all the clothes you could buy, a new car, house, etc.
But who is going to ever marry you? Can you imagine the ridicule the man you marry would go through? Not only that, your first time should be a private affair, not something publicized. That kind of past will never go away.
My advice is to get some self respect. Unless your ambition is to grow up and be a porn star, this type of move is not for you. It has the makings of the biggest mistake of your life written all over it.
After all, your virginity is the one thing money can not buy back.
