Lingham is the Sanskrit concept for the male sexual organ. A expression used in Tantric massage, it is loosely translated to “wand of light" and is recognized in a broader sense than classic western thinking. The Lingham is the male body part which is the channel for creativity and pleasure. It is to be respected and revered in much the same way as the female yoni. Lingham massage is used to relax the male and allow him to surrender and receive fun without expectation of a certain outcome. Orgasm isn't the goal of the massage but permits the male to be in the role of the receiver and to enable himself the pleasure of indulging his more feminine side. If orgasm takes place it is welcomed, but it is not a goal. It is just as important for the male to learn to loosen up and receive as it is for the woman and the Lingham massage is the perfect thing to begin with. In advance of beginning, freshen up with a shower or a relaxing bath. It is necessary that both the giver and the receiver be relaxed. Create a calm situation with music, candles or scented oils. Practice deep breathing to relax yourself and your significant other. Let go of the worries and cares of the world and take time to just be together. After you have finished your preparations have the receiver lie on his back in a relaxed location. Elevate his head with pillows so he can watch the massage and place a towel under his hips. A pillow should be considered here as well if it is more comfortable and creates better access to the Lingham. His legs should be drawn up comfortably and somewhat open. Take several deep breaths together before you begin. Then add just a touch of oil to the hands, rubbing them together to warm and soften them before making contact with the receiver’s body. First massaging the legs, thighs and abdomen, continue on to the chest arms, neck and shoulders, massaging the nipples as well. When the receiver is sufficiently comfortable add additional oil to the shaft of the Lingham and the testicles. Very softly massage the scrotum until it relaxes. Massage the area between the testicles and the anus. These areas are tender and may be unaccustomed to touch so go slowly but surely and carefully. When you move on to the erotic male massage of the Lingham, work your hands gently up and down the shaft, altering the speed and weight of your touch. Place your right hand at the base of the shaft, squeeze momentarily then softly slide your hand up and off; alternate hands, performing the same procedure back and forth between them several times. Next reverse the path starting up at the top of the shaft, squeezing gently and then proceeding down the shaft. Now massage the head with the palm of your hand moving it around the top of the shaft. The nerves the Lingham connect to other regions of the body, so as you work to relax the Lingham the receiver’s whole being will unwind. Throughout the male tantric massage the Lingham may soften and harden numerous times. This is as it should be. If the receiver comes close to orgasm divert the massage so as to delay the release. Deferment of the orgasm five or six times will make the release more intense in the event you both decide this is the desired end. A Lingham massage may release bottled up emotions so do not worry if the receiver has a strong emotional response. Comfort and accept the sensations of your partner and allow him a full release, whatever it is. Once the massage has come to an end, the receiver may want to relax or get to sleep.
