Talking Can Spice Up Your Love Life.

Communication is big, super big for a relationship to work, but what good is it if it’s about telling lies? The way I see it, people get in trouble not so much for telling lies, but for getting caught in them. To me truth and honesty are about integrity, the fabric that makes us who we are. I know that I don’t like being lied to. I know the feeling inside and sometimes hurt that comes along with finding out that someone lied to me. Why would I want to make a loved one feel this very same way? Do on to others…
Lying really is about integrity. We lie because we are afraid to deal with the consequences of our actions. We lie because we feel the need to protect a loved one from hurting, especially when we are the ones who lied to them. In essence, we lie because we are cowards and cowards have no integrity. We are not talking here about telling little children that there is a Santa clause when we know there isn’t (not the North pole one anyway), or the tooth fairy or any of the other good stuff we call white lies . No, we are talking about the kind that can emotionally scare someone and leave mistrust in them that didn’t exist before.
Take for example the phrase, “Get in her pants.” Many guys will say or do anything to get into a woman’s pants (Have sex) with her. She on the other hand may indeed feel that the guy likes her and genuinely wants to be with her, for her, who she is. Image what she feels when she realizes that he isn’t calling back, that in fact, he used her for sex only. Had they both agreed to this kind of one nightstand, that’s one thing, but to give false hopes to someone by lying means you have no integrity.
I truly believe that truth in communication, or lack of, may be a high percentage of why relationships don't work out. Take fantasies for example. A woman may dress a certain way and a guy act a certain way when they first meet that are exciting to the other. As time goes by, they become more and more comfortable with each other, but at the same time they also become lax about turning their partner on.
They should talk openly about not allowing the relationship to get stale. Why not re-meet each other again with a little role play? Maybe the wife/girlfriend can dress up all hot and “Meet” the husband/boyfriend for the first time. Be honest about your fantasy. Maybe you like a “Trashy” looking lady that you're afraid to tell your wife about. Maybe your wife really likes a “Bad boy” persona, at least for a night out that you can pretend to be. Come on, open up and talk to your loved one. We may all be really surprised on how variety really is the spice of life!
