Transportation For Wedding Guests

Providing an efficient and comfortable transportation for wedding guests should be a part of schedule for every wedding especially if it will be organized in Poland. Usually places of wedding ceremony and party are not so close to each other to suggest guests a short walk. It's very popular to organize a ceremony in one of the old Churches in centre of Krakow. For wedding parties it's better to choose places at the city outskirts or even further away.

In that case you might think that it will be enough to call a taxis when needed. Could you imagine however to find, let's say 10 taxis at the same time and explain to each driver where he should drive? Perhaps suggesting your guests taking their own cars would solve this problem? I'm not sure. There are few reasons. First, there are almost no weddings with no alcohol in Krakow. Wedding organizer should provide to guest a comfort of drinking alcohol without wondering 'how I will get back home'. It would also prevent some ideas of drink driving that unfortunately is a common problem in Poland.Another problem is a parking around Churches, which usually are placed in the Old Town where it's not allowed to drive for most of cars.

It seems that is better to organize some mean of transport with a professional driver for your guests. But what kind of vehicle it should be? Usually number of quests easily exceed 40 people so maybe big 60-seater coach would be perfect? Not really. First it won't be able to get to the city centre. Second, is quite slow and very expensive in hiring.

The best option would be a comfortable minivan with an air-conditioning. They can fit 8 passengers with huge luggage and are the same fast or even faster than normal cars. They will get with ease to every tight street in Old Town. You might think that for eg 64 guests you will need 8 minivans. If wedding party place is located not farer away than 10 miles from church it 4 should be enough. They will make 2 routes but costs will be still 2 times lower as in most of the cases minivan companies offer some limit of kilometers which is big enough for even longer distances.

Another important thing in transportation is a driver. He should definitely speak English and he should know Krakow and its environs better than his own pocket. It will safe you hassles and time. As not all the people leave wedding party at the same time you can even reduce number of minivans for a night to two.
