Reading the Male Body Language - What Does He Mean?

Social scientists say that communication is somewhere around 90% nonverbal and 10% verbal. That means that it's not what you say it's how you say it. We've probably all heard stuff like this before. When it comes to dating, and social dynamics in general, this is very true. When women see a guy they can tell almost immediately if they have any interest in him.

Now, this initial reaction isn't set in stone. A women's attitude can change after meeting most men, especially if they is extremely interesting or incredibly rude. But basically, if a man uses a certain type of nonverbal communication, a certain body language, a woman will be much more likely to be attracted to him. He is nonverbally communicating to her that he can protect her and provide for her, he's telling her that he's an alpha male.

How does he say these things? It is actually remarkably simple, basic stuff. If you have seen military types then you know how it looks. The first thing is posture. This is something that your parents probably tried to teach you when you were younger, but you thought it was annoying-you should have listened! Good posture makes you look more confident. You might see a military guys who looks scared (and why not, they're getting shot at) but you seldom see one who looks timid or weak. They have been trained to give the appearance of strength, and it starts with their posture.

Everyone knows what good posture is, and it's kind of sad that so few men bother to use it. Good posture alone would probably get you twice as many dates. Anyway, good posture starts with your back-keep it straight! Shoulders back. If you've had poor posture for years it might be hard at first to keep your shoulders back. It will probably feel a bit unnatural. Keep with it for a while and you will get the hang of it.

Also, you want to keep your head up. This will contribute to the look of confidence that an alpha male should project. When you combine these simple things-back straight, shoulders back, head up-you will automatically look more commanding, stronger, less passive and meek. There is a lot more to the set of alpha body language, but this is the foundation for everything else.

When a beautiful woman meets a man who carries himself in this way it is noticed immediately. And other women will, too. This isn't all that goes into being an alpha male, but without it you have no shot. Remember how I said that nonverbal communication is what carries the bulk of the message? With this type of body language you will be silently communicating to all the women in the area that you are a confident, strong man, one that can protect and provide.

By taking the time to work on these basic elements of body language you will go t along way towards achieving the alpha male persona that we are all drawn to.
