HHO Generation: How It Works

The many environmental issues in the world, and the rising gas prices have made a lot of people explore other alternative sources of energy. One of these is the hydrogen/gasoline hybrid engine for the driving of cars. This type of engine uses an HHO generator together with a regular gasoline engine in order to create HHO gas to be burned in a regular internal combustion engine. The basic principle with HHO generators is that it breaks down the components of water into HHO gas. They break it down by using the process of electrolysis wherein a electricity is passed through water to make the molecules dissociate into its gaseous form. HHO Generators use an electrolyser to pass the electric current through the water. The resulting gas from the electolyser is called hydroxy gas.

This gas is more explosive than hydrogen. HHO Generators incorporate a lot of safety features due to this issue. There are a lot of sensors and controls that ensure the utmost safety of an HHO/Gas Hybrid car. Some of the safety feature include not connecting the electrolyser directly to the battery. Instead it uses a relay to turn it on only when the engine is started. This ensures that the electrolyser only produces hydroxy gas when the engine is running. This prevents the unwanted build up of unburnt hydroxy gas.

The hydroxy gas is fed directly into the internal combustion engine of the car. This is the fuel burnt in order to make the car run. The fuel is very effective and makes the car generate a lot of power. Many HHO engine owners claim that they have no problems in terms of the power output of their car engines. This is why a lot of people are starting to be interested in using HHO engines.

HHO engines have a lot of benefits. When properly set up, the engine only needs some electrical power in order to run the electrolytic converter and start the engine. This means your only fuel consumption is the battery power needed to convert water into HHO. Another great thing about HHO is that it is clean energy. The whole conversion process only results to water as a by product. This means less carbon emissions in the world from cars.

The great thing about HHO generators is the fact that you can build one yourself. There are a lot of kits and guides available that you can use to convert your gas powered car into something that uses HHO generation. This means you can easily convert your regular car into something that eats less fuel and produces less emissions.
