A Most Glorious Time of the Year, [the Captains Bride of Aisa-Marlowe] Cont.

by The Pirate of Soleas Port

Any other  woman would have smiled towards me apun the first sight of me, but she is like no other woman, ahh-ha yes,yes there it is her smile, well now man dont just stand here like an anchor plunging to the sea floor, so after all of this pondering i did create a path to where she stood, Greetings of yuletide to all, I proclaimed my arms wide open as i looked around at evryone who was about her, some freinds others were nameless but my eyes did rest apun her face. Merry christmast seaman would it be you that will place the angel proper, as you can see i was not just tall enough to sit her, and she leans just so.

Even as she direct me she smiles, well now surley lady how would it be possiable for me to do anything other than what you wish, solomon reaching to position the angel would now make holiday greetings to the beautiful lady personaly. Merry chritmast lady whos name i do not know, maureen seaman my name is Maureen. All the time she did-not  move her eyes from mine, nor did i remove mine from the path of her,s.

Well maureen may this be the most glorious christmast that you have ever had, happy holidays lady. As seeing myself as a man who did not consider himself to be be forward of where i should be, i left her as she was content. And so i did go about and shake hands and smile that night, and i did remain there at The Ships Wheel for a few hours more

All the long my eyes could not help but to search for her, And so moments before i was to leave for the night my eyes did find her again, as she was across the room i had come to realise that her voice had not left my memory, for  it was the sound so sweet and beautiful that summoend my atteintion, it was the sound of  her voice i heard, i confessed to myself and i confess only the truth.

For as i turned to her voice, there she she stood conversing with one i did not know, but her attetion was clearly reaching across his shoulder. she had summomend me, now i would summon her as so.Raising my time peice up from my pocket i glanced at it. And it was only a moment that had passed before she was now with me.

So seaman is it the raging sea that calls you. so lady again the pleasure is mine and yours i hope. no not even that sea that i love so much  could call me away from this moment tonight.no sea could ever rival the call of one so beautiful as you. Oh my lord seaman how sweet your words that you speak to me, i can only wonder if there is some other woman who could qoute these very same words that you speak tonight.

No woman could qoute these words that i speack tonight but the one who stands before me now for no woman other than she has ever moved me to these words.Well man that i have moved, did his mother give him a name, yes she did it was solomon. will i see you again solomon. i could only hope that you would want to see this man again, Maureen if tommorow please you i would love to take you out in this town, and would love so much to walk about with you , to sit with you, to laugh with you, if only to talk with you.

So if only you could do all of this with me Solomon. yes lady all of this in my fashion. and so what is your fashion seaman, tell me  i must know now. well now lets see ohhh i would say that my fashion would be to charm you so until you wanted so desperately to know my ways as i so desperately want to know your ways. well in seeing how you  apear to be fiiled with sincerity i shall accept your call for tomorrow. well now this is most glorious, shall we say seven even, seven even it is, goodnight seaman. yes, yes maureen a good night it is.

And so those were maureens last words to me that night.and i would leave town that night feeling more than any man could feel, all the way home i was with a smile and a song and i would push the stallions at a pace that only the beat of my racing heart could keep up with

And i would enter my house after tying down the stallions for the night, water they would get.

And i looked around the house that i built with own two hands, a fine house it is i thought to myself, a fine house it is indeed. I had been blessed with more than any man could ask for, this life i have here is high and beautiful, one would think, but in every stone that i laid to an eyes perfection was laid with and set with hard work and sweat. And somwhere in all that hard work was hope and desire for a future with somone to live out the rest of my days, i could not see that future back then, but hope and desire saw it and they stayed with me.

I was already steadfast in prayer before i were to fall onto a bending knee, down i went like that anchor plunging to that sea floor, OH MY LORD HEAR ME TONIGHT, HEAR YOUR HUMBLE AND WEAK CHILD WHO CALLS OUT TO YOU THIS NIGHT,

If she is for me, i who ran in the face of the wind without regaurd forgive me lord i who understand nothing, i who has only the sea a fine and beautiful sea she is, but i am lonely even with the sea under my feet, oh my lord she is so much of a woman, oh how i wish to oneday have the woman in her lay beside me apun my bed in union that would make us one, for this i feel i know. oh my lord i confess to you now that i am ready to understand what the ways of a woman should mean to a man.

Oh lord i am this man who has never set my own eyes on that man who laid with my mother, and did take her as his own wife, but still of no account. i call out to you this day my beautiful and gracious lord, that oneday if your will, that i may  give an account for a child. a male-child in my own image, but boy or girl i will rejoyce in your name on that day.

The silence that had overcome the room did send me up-right, yes,yes the letter, the letter to her majestiey,s royal federation of commerce and trade. per-haps i shall cease to consider this oppitunity for a time. why with the meeting of maureen and seeing how my time may be spent learning her ways, it would be foolish of me to make such a committment at this point, although i must say that it would be an honor to serve at her Majestiey,s request, but clearly i can understand her requesting me, there is no doubt in my mind that she,s well aware that udertaking a mission as such would be intrusted to only the most capable seaman and.... that would be me[solomon gives himself a more than ample pat on the back] there was now new territories to the west that had now become a apart of her Majiesties, the peoples federation of St. Abraham. new territories ment more commerse and trade, and this also ment more time at sea for solomon. i shall also request more time here in aisa-marlowe and not return to sea as i am due. for i must court maureen, yes.. i must answer the call of fait for i must lay with her in union. well perhaps i will not include all of this as i write.

My intenions, my intenions oh how they gather around my soul, tonight they seek confrmation, but tonight my soul shall not be disturbed. i have maid much of this day and for that i have been taxed a fair portion, so to this night i bid a goodnight.

Morning had come and as always in the fall and winter months, the morning would bring the sound of the crashing waves, hurling themselves aginst the rocks. yes my lord, yes my lord, how i thank you for that smell of the sea that is in the air. yes listen to the gulls they to rejoice to the sound of wind and wave, they to fill their little lungs with your salty air. truly you give us the good. solomon proclaimed out loudly as he had done many times before.[oh what a glorious morning has stepped out from the dawn] solomon would stand in the big bay window that was shaped as a half carriage up on the third floor of his master-bedroom.

well now if all is well the stable hands have readied the stallions for their trip to town, oh how this time of year brings such a labor that i can only love there is so much to be done, so much to be prepared, ahh.. all the special food to be bought, the decorations of holly, ponciettas, pine that glorious smell of fresh green pine.

Yes i shall go see the hands and give them clear my exspectaions of what is to be done throughout the holidays. i am blessed to have them here with me at [ Her bay of mercy] oh yes this land that sits so close to the sea, has calmed my fears many a night, i can only hope the hands see this land as i see it. i am almost certain that they do. i thank you lord for the hands, for they are well with their work and they are well with me.

Oh my words take your time just let me look at all of this beauty that i stand tall in, so much beauty that any man would stand tall in its midst, any man i say.so much snow has fallen so much wind, oh look out at that sea, she crashes into the rocks with only warning, but ohh.. when you are out there, you are close to her heart, and whoa to the man who is close to her heart.

For she crashes him with a rage and fury that stands him still. for he is so close to the secrets her heart and like any passionate woman she makes you earn her trust, still in oarh solomon decides to walk for a bit. oh i know there is much work to be done but i must walk into the trails just for a bit, just a bit i tell you! yes, yes i shall tarry, generaly speaking it is not my way.

As solomon looks off his shoulder he is overtaken by excitment, he begans to call out, vlahgaelo, vlahgaelo he would call out, vlahgaelo was solomon tusted ole freind, yes, yes my ole freind, my kingdom yes, yes vlahgaelo what a fine name for a fine freind, even if he dose moves about on four leggs and wags his tail, [solomon laughs out loud,] kingdom had come to me by way of the river naieema aisa-marloews most loved lady, oh how i would love to have sat and talked with her, she is the one who prayed for the sailors safe return to their ports of home. but i suppose i  have been talking to her for many years now for it is to her i come when my thoughts gather about me, it is there i go to seek resolve.

Yes our lady is most dignafied. solomon continues his talk with kingdom, well you see my freind i have recounted this story many times to you, but it gives me joy to do so, so i shall once more. as i recall there you were being swept up stream in the current, all tangled in a thick of brush, and a good way for you to have been, for you would have surley drowned from struggle, but God is good all the time, and sent that thick of brush right the shoreline, right to the toe of my boots. you were just a pup maybe six or eight weeks of life,  oh how remember that day very well, i thought to myself, well now my little tangled and tatterd freind how did all of this misfortune become of you.

You looked up at me as if to say OH YOU WHOS FEET HAVE SAVED ME FROM ALL THIS STRUGGLE TO LIVE, I WOULD TELL YOU IF I HAD WORDS.

From that day on we have never parted ways. thy kingdom comes[solomon roars with laughter.

Again solomon finds himself talking to his creator [ oh my lord, oh my lord and just lord you are, lord who ruled the day before, just as you rule this day and surely you shall rule all the days to come, so my lord i was council that evry man will give full account on the day of judgment for what he has done and what he has not. i know this to be true my lord, i too shall give a full account for this life that you have lent to me in a number of days that only you can count proper, oh my lord forgive me for what foolish ways i may have traveled in my days of ignorance. oh my lord it was they who sought to persacute me when i moved away from them.

Oh my lord how could i stay close to them, when i too as well as them, had run so far away from you. lord but i did, oh my lord God it was me who ran fast back your call, and peace has been with me from that day on and into this day,

The fith hour of the day was now almost visiable and solomon had good of time and was now approaching the long driveway that led up to [her bay of mercy] and solomon then was greeted by sound of a thundering bark, it was kingdom solomons ole and trusted freind, solomon sat back and high-up holding the reains snapping them just so, pushing the stallions at a pace that would double time,a splendid pace he thought to himself, seeing kingdom moving closer and closer into veiw,

Solomon proclaimed out loud in the heartiest of voice and laughter,[yes, yes, yes, he cometh oh yes,  yes my kingdom comes, this little ritual would often be played out when solomon returned home, kingdoms playful escort appeared to be just as much fun the stallions as it was for solomon and kingdom, solomons disspositon was now turned to the getting ready for a night with the beautiful dark-haired lady.

Back and fourth he would pace accross his bedroom floor as he was deciding which jacket to wear, yes, yes, this one, no maybe that one, what say you man with those boots. after what seemed like an eternity but was in reality was only but an hour, solomon was now fully fashioned, hat in hand solomon flew down the stairs so fast until he was overstepping evry other stair, blasting fourth over and over, the stallions, the stallions, the stallions i say to you now man!.

this was a call the hands had long come know, and always the hands had was well ahead of solomon in seeing to it that the stallions were fully dressed and waitng for solomon. fernando one of the hands who had been with solomon for more than ten winters, was also as always standing there with the stallions holding the reains,

Solomon cutting off his blasting call accuteley, and rearanging his tone to one that was plesant and of gradittude,[ well man indeed you are well with your work, indeed you are. so for that the rest of this day belongs to you. and the other hands ofcourse, so be to your endevors what-ever they may, WITH-IN REASON MAN, with-in reason.

But i must say to you that i am well aware that you are a reasonable man. fernando just stood there looking at solomon like he looked him many times before, yes solomon the stallions, as solomon leveled himself up into the seat of the wagon and began to pull forward, fernando called out to him,[solomon be easy on the stallions and make safe way my freind.

Solomon anxiously replied i shall do just that my freind, band-di, band-di, solomon commanded the stallions, and at once the four horses made quick in tandem.

And as the stallions moved onto the roadway headed northeast towards town.it was a song that solomon did bring fourth,[I KNOW OF A BEAUTIFUL LADY WHO WAITS FOR ME IN THE HEART OF TOWN. ONEDAY I SHALL ASK HER FOR HER HAND AND FOREVER SHE AND I SHALL BE BOUND.] and it was soon after that song that the stallions did reach town.

It was not clear to solomon if it was the steady pace of the stallions at a brisk pace. or if it was the sound of his own voice in song or somthing unknown but a calm had overcame him. solomon stepping down from his coach turning to face a young curly redhair boy, solomon handing over the reains to the boy spoke to him with a smile[ this coach is four stallions strong as you can see, do you think you can stand them proper with ease.

The tall thin young boy no more than 13 or so clucthing the reaions firmly and then mounted the coach, replied to solomon, yes man  i tell you now, my farther has said to me many times that it was i who held the reains at the age of two years.

And as you see i still hold them proper today, directing just half a smile at solomon. then planting solid his boots and then plowed into a loud command to the stallions and they did move as he had commanded.

Solomon smiled to himself, that boy must heavy responceabilty in see how address me as man not sir, he will be just fine with the reains he thought. but now he would step into the ships wheel with a sence of purpose. as he enterd the bistro greeting patrons and freinds alike[ what say you my good man, yes, yes so nice to see you this time of year, to another so good to see you lady, merry christmas, to another he would say, yes,yes i shall look into that on your behalf abraham, solomon,s amplifying even louder and a good man you are abraham.merry christmast my freind.

It now only maureen that solomon wished to greet, to himself thought well now theres the christmast tree over there, but i do not see her about it. the angixiety of wanting to see her but not seeing her was almost about to send solomon into a spontanious pace. calm your self man he thought, a nervus laugh, surely she is hidden in the crowd.

Then that voice, that beautiful sweet soothing voice, her voice, a sudden sence of relief, hello seaman, is i you seek so desperately. turning to maureen, excuse me lady i must simply just look at you for a moment, i must capture all of your beauty, if that is even possible. and he did pause for almost a full miniute. and [yes maureen it is i who was seeking for you in desperation this night, though i feel as if i have been in desperation to find you for many many nights.

Well then it looks as if you have found me solomon, and a man of your word, you arrived at seven oclock even just as you said you would. solomon with a smile takes light pride in maureens flattery. well i truly thank you for those very kind that you have given to me, shall we collect a table. the two move inwards into the center of the very large foyer of the bistro. solomon would raise him right hand high above his head, holding hat and coat about his left, making a twriling jesture with his wrist he makes eye contact with a host who appears to have no particular task at hand.

Right away the man approaches, ahh yes mishure, solomon adresses the host, well my good man the night is about much to do, perhaps somthing to the rear left with a window veiw in a corner at best. now directing his hand out forward still twirling but pointing to a location of his prefence. ahh yes misuir i have an excilent choice for the lady and yourself, somthing very special for the beautiful lady, i think she will like very much misuir,

indeed you speak only the truth, for beautiful she is indeed, honesty fits you well man. thank you misuir you are so graceious, so now i will seat the two of you. and so maureen would coment on that lovely view,[oh my words solomon what a lovely veiw.] I can asure you that although those beautiful blue eyes of paradice has indeed bared wittness to such a veiw beyond this window, there is no veiw on this earth, no no in this universe as beautiful as the one i look at in this moment, the one who sits before me now. truly [God has created you so to amaze mankind, truly you are amazing.

Well solomon i suppose i will just have to accept your words in some fashion of modesty, oh maureen, maureen i am compelled by the weight of my heart and my soul to speak of my desires, for you see i am not to enter the cathethral as often as i should, well now wait,[solomon begans to bring fourth a subtle laugh as he speaks] i say to you now i have a well sence of direction as to my creator, but you see, well now [ agian solomon stuggles to tell maureen his desires] this is most rare, it is as if my words have run away from me and hidden,

well i should say that i ask his forgiveness everyday, sometimes throughout the day. but! that is not the full measure of what i would like to say to you, you see there are times when my thoughts are scatterd about my head, just as the gulls are scatterd about the sky that hangs over the sea. but oh woman ,oh woman this night i speak to what lays with-in you, you see as the hand of God is all knowing most merciful and most understanding, the strongest hand most healing, most loving.

To him i look up to for all my help, to him and him aone. you see maureen some several months ago i went to him, and i confessed that i had searched my soul and that i now knew that i was ready to love a woman in this life, a good woman awoman with dignaty that is stead-fast, a sinceable tone to who she is, a woman who speaks to the creator as to not forget him, and if she to him more than i, then this even more glorious.

I asked him to send her that she would be with laughter, and song. and i beseeched him for more, send her i requested, that she would run to the ocean for the love of it, let her seek me after him when needs to be comforted, let her love books, a true desire to understand this world, and most did i request that he would bless us with a child for i have none to my name.

And now you are here with me, maureen had sat quietly listening to all of solomons words, And now she would speak. ohh.. solomon, i suppose if you were any other man, theres no doubt i would be very uneasy with all you have said here tonight. but! you are not any other man, last night when you walked in here, i dont know why, but i knew that the meeting of you would some-how have a very profound efect on my life, what i do know is that i did understand that we were connected.

I even thought to myself how is this so, this man who is he, how can he just walk into this place and move me at once with such ease, i must tell you solomon, that when i last spoke with you last night, after your leaving i did have a little resentment towards you, who dose he think he is stepping in here compelling me to blush so, but it was only a small portion of resentment,[she would smile towards solomon as if she was granting him some kind of mercy.

You see solomon home for me was, well and i suppose it still is monaco, it is where i was born and lived until my comming here, i have spent time oh.. here and there, switserland, denmark, croaita, some parts of the far east, as my mother is from china, my farther french african, my farther teaches abroad for the french goverment. why asia-marlowe, i did not know other than my farther once told me that here would suite me in the most splended way.

So i became curious, with nothing or noone to claim me back home other that my mother and farther, i decided that here it shall be and i would see for myself what suites me. so yes here i am, i have been here all of two weeks, and i must say so far asia-marlowe suites me most splended. but tell more solomon, man of the mighty raging sea.[ maureen would make laughter of solomons mindfulness of the sea.]

So i see, you have been many places, many indeed, nothing did you find that suited you to your desire. but now you are here in asia-marlowe and anyone can see that there is the most plesant air about you. i truly think that it is here that you belong. your farther is a very wise man, very wise indeed. in fact your mother and farther both have my deepest offer of gradittude, for they made you, for me i hope.

Yes lady oh how i pray that the words of my mouth and the meditaion of my heart fall down apun your soul so very gently this night, if only your soul would embrace them as they come to you,

Just at that moment, at their table apeared a man holding what apeared to be an oval shaped bread basket made of bamboo, there was a sudden excitement with solomon.[ahh.. yes, now that aroma,ahh.. you see that is an aroma i so love to smell, tell me now, at once what is nature of that aroma maureen, yes tell me.

Just as maureen was about to answer, solomon would grab a slice
