As a Director of my own Multimedia and Technology Company here in the UK, many will read with disbelief the article that I am putting forward to the world. Though this would be put down to craziness or a momentary lapse of reason on my part, it is assured that the information is given because of the nature in which I run the business that I do – High Tech, Low Prices – where the prices that are charged (sometimes overcharged) by the High Street shops and stores make me cringe.
Over the past six months it has been asked of me: “Does my company do a cheap Operating System [OS]?” And, to be honest, the price against the firms and the manufacturer’s aren’t that much of a large gap to say you can make a big profit – let’s face it for a 15 pence Blank DVD Disc and a programme that has been duplicated more than the number’s shown on Bill Gates’ bank account it would be logical to sustain a lower price for “Outlet Retailers” so as to make a bit of money other than the £10 - £20 presently offered.
When looking at my company’s prices they more or less nodded their heads and proceeded to throw me a shirt button (theoretically speaking), before asking if there was any other company out there which offered a more reasonable price. Well, the main stream players were definitely out of the loop, as were the small corner market stalls that offered very little difference than the Supermarkets; Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, and the likes. It was strange that even for the XP Home Edition Operating System the cost was so high priced, and that being a very old system preference for anyone to use these days next to the dominant Vista and Windows 7 – and quite recently Windows 8.
So, were there any other places besides all these that we had tried to find a better deal on Operating System Software? Could there be anywhere cheaper than the ones we had already checked by Store and Internet website?
OK, so many people look at their friends who have the very latest Operating Systems with disheartened smiles and wishful thinking of having such a great set up. Already in the UK, more than £1 billion pounds is missing from the result of “Pirates” illegally downloading Operating Systems and using them outside the “T&C’s” of Microsoft and other developers, so where is the real problem for these people just going out and buying a legitimate and verified copy of the disc? The answer is Cost, and it always will be until a time when the Computer world turns to alternative ways of “Open Source”, more flexible prices and, of course, less greedy Programme Developers who play God where consumers are concerned.
Let’s not forget that on the first quarter of a new software release like MS XP, we’re not talking small change made from the starting price. Rumours alone were posted everywhere that the OS made the 100 million unit mark worldwide, which, when or if you break down the basis of the process surrounding one single project, the bigger picture would ring it home to everyone; the cost of the programmers wages, the overtime, travelling expenses, miscellaneous resources and expenses, electricity used in the concept, design and creation. Then you look at the prices for putting the finished programme onto CD/DVD and it is now that you actually realise that the End User cost for this OS is worth much less than what you paid for it. Some may disagree with me, while others will be in that small area known as “The Zone”, and undoubtedly agree that these large companies make too much on Systems which they believe we have no choice but to buy – or face a Blue Screen with nothing to use.
It is worth pointing out at this moment in time that there is always a bigger fish in the pond, a bigger shark in the ocean and most definitely where these large Software Companies are concerned, there is always a bigger Technology Company that is ready to place the spanner into the works for those that are becoming…well, too big for their boots. In my eyes these companies are GREEDY for mass profit returns.
So, with all this said, is there anywhere that you can purchase an OS cheaper than any of those afore mentioned companies? Yes, yes there is. With only two small factors that you would have to qualify against, you could be walking away with MS Vista, MS Windows 7 and a whole host of other programmes from the mighty Microsoft for as little as £40.00 each.
Here are some examples:
Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus - £37.89
Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 - £37.89
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 32-bit Upgrade Edition £38.49
MS Win7 Pro 64-bit Upgrade Edition £38.49
MS Win7 Ultimate 32-bit Edition Upgrade £59.22
All Prices include Free Delivery. Pretty good prices when you look at the other outlet prices which offer a superb range to suite everyone – but for hundreds of pounds more on the price tag.
Alright, so we have talked about the High Street’s, the Supermarkets and even the Manufacturer’s, which leaves only the last part of this article…where in the world can you get these programs cheaper than anyone else? Well, that’s pretty simple, but first you have to ask yourself “How?”
Two simple questions that will confirm whether or not you are compatible or whether you will be exempt from the purchase of these amazing deals:
1. Do you live in the United Kingdom of Great Britain?
2. Do you have a child (aged 4 to 18) in Full Time Education?
If you answered YES to both, then you (As a Parent, Guardian or Family Member) can purchase these software items and more for use on your home PC or Laptop for the prices stated above. What’s more the Software that is provided are “Full Versions” with the Product Key included. Everything you get is Genuine and to prove this all you have to do is look at the “Microsoft Gold Reseller Certificate” at the base of the website. As a Director, I am hardly in a position where I can fork out all the money that these other companies charge.
Do you want to get these bargains? Do you want fairness around the world where it all appears to be more money for the Corporates and very little for the small company? Then click HEREand open up your world.
