Guy is Offering People $45/Hour to Pop Their Pimples For Them
The beauty industry has one piece of advice when it comes to squeezing pimples – don’t do it. If you squeeze a pimple and it becomes infected, it can make it worse and lead to scarring.
That advice, however, ignores the salient fact that sometimes you simply have to pop a pimple. You’ve got a hot date or a job interview and you can’t turn up looking like a hormonal teenager. But popping a pimple can be painful and unpleasant. So why not get paid for it?
Enter The Acnephiliac
Yes, acnephilia is a real thing. It’s the act of getting your kicks from interacting with acne and, in particular, from squeezing other people’s pimples.
One such person is currently advertising on Craigslist in New York. He’s prepared to pay people with chronic acne $45 an hour to squeeze their pimples.
No, We’re Not Making This Up
The anonymous poster says, “I am one of the popaholic obsessed with watching videos of blackheads/pimples/sebaceous filaments being picked at or popped. I thought I’d give myself a present this year and pop some pimples of my own. Only, I don’t seem to have any. This is where you come in. If you have pimples/acne/blackheads and would allow me to pop them I would be extremely grateful. I would pay you too. $45 an hour.”
He’s a hygienic kinkster, too. He also adds, “I would be using the Enilsa Brown method of q-tips (and rubber gloves of course), and if you are comfortable a sterile needle to help any sticky ones out. I would also use rubbing alcohol and use Clearasil Deep Pore Acne Pads at the end.” You’d be surprised to learn that this peculiar offer has brought a ton of positive response and in one case a respondent is ready to live with him: “Hold on, just packing up my bags to head for New York… I’m coming for you, soulmate.”
That’s kind of sweet and gross at the same time.
