Natalie Portman won the Best Actress prize for her starring role in Pablo Larraín’s biopic of Jackie Onassis, ‘Jackie’. Portman gave a heart-felt speech where she praised her fellow nominees and the movie director, stating that it felt crazy to be rewarded because of a rewarding experience per se.

Donald Glover won Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his role in ‘Atlanta’, his own comedy-drama television series . On his speech, Glover affirmed that he wasn’t really expecting to get that award because he was competing for it with other great actors that he admired.

Sarah Paulson won the Best Actress in a Movie made for Television or Limited series award due to her participation on a FX’s series named ‘The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story’, where she performs as the character Marcia Clark, a real life prosecuting attorney who tried to convict O.J. Simpson for the murders of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson.
