Evan Spiegel, Miranda Kerr Get Ready To Walk Down the Aisle
Former Victoria’s Secret supermodel Miranda Kerr and Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel are expected to get married very soon, nine months after initially announcing their engagement. According to sources from US Weekly, the supermodel’s family has already flown to Los Angeles from Australia to attend the ceremonies.
Kerr and Spiegel met at a Louis Vuitton work dinner in 2014 where they sat next to each other. Kerr found Spiegel “sweet, really kind and smart.” The couple went on a date at the Santa Monica’s Kundalini Yoga at Golden Bridge and have been inseparable ever since.
The 34-year-old supermodel announced her engagement with the 26-year-old billionaire by posting an Instagram photo of her classic diamond ring with a custom filter “Marry Me” on Snapchat. She added a caption at the bottom saying, “I said yes!”
Reports from US Magazine mentioned that although the wedding will be extravagant in “the true Evan style”, the couple usually chooses to have laid back nights at home where they can have a good dinner and sleep early.
In a report published on Net-A-Porter, Kerr described the Snapchat founder as a homebody just like her. She mentioned, “He’s 25, but he acts like he’s 50,” and added that Spiegel does not go out partying.
She said: “He goes to work in Venice [Beach], he comes home. We don’t go out. We’d rather be at home and have dinner, go to bed early.”
This is Kerr’s second marriage after her previous relationship with Orlando Bloom ended in 2013. Bloom is the father of the former Victoria’s Secret angel’s six-year-old son, Flynn.
Although the couple divorced, they remained good friends and agreed to introduce only serious partners to their son. Kerr mentioned that “Orlando thinks he’s great. We’re just a modern family now!”
Asked if Spiegel does not feel like a young man, Kerr quipped that she “has the best of both worlds!” Kerr’s second time down the aisle is set to take place sometime in the coming weeks.
