Four-Year-Old Girl Afraid of Monsters Calls Police to Check Her Home

Four-year-old Sidney Fahrenbruch and her family recently moved into a new house and while she seemed fine with it, the little girl was a bit scared that there might be monsters in their new home, so she invited police officer David Bonday to come over and make sure that their home was monster-free.

“She was worried that there may be monsters in her new house,” Officer Bonday told ABC News. He added that the toddler and her mom, Megan, asked if he can spare some time to “check the house before they moved in.”

The police officer willingly obliged and went to the kid’s home on July 23 where the little girl was excitedly waiting for him in her own special outfit.

“She was wearing a little police outfit,” recalled Officer Bonday. He added that his “police mission’ in Sidney’s home is “probably one of the cutest things I’ve ever been involved with as a police officer.”

Bonday who is a father of three kids also shared that the little girl was the one who led him inside the house and “the monster hunting began.”

Sidney and her backup police thoroughly checked every nook and cranny of the house including all the bedrooms, laundry room, and living room – even the couches!

In a clip posted by ABC News, Sidney can be seen dutifully following Officer Bonday’s direction to check the couch, including in between the cushions, using a police flashlight.

For the record, no monsters were found during the search.

Sidney’s mom shared that the toddler was particularly delighted that a police officer would come visit her house as she dreams of becoming a cop someday.

“She’s been obsessed with them for a year now. She’s brought them Halloween candy, cookies, pie at Thanksgiving. She’s been looking for a police best friend,” Megan said.
