The Kindness Of Three Strangers Blows Away Overwhelmed Mom During Stressful Flight
Everybody has been on a flight with screaming kids. You’re thinking, why can’t those rotten parents get that kid to pipe down? But when you become a parent, you understand that traveling with kids is a whole different kind of torture. If you could cast a magic spell to keep your children calm and well-behaved, you absolutely would. For one mother on a flight with her two young sons, she didn’t need a spell — just the kindness of strangers.
On The Verge Of A Meltdown
Becca Kinsey, a mother of two from Dallas, was traveling without her husband with her two-year-old and five-year-old, Wyatt and James. All three members of the party were worn out.
On Facebook, Kinsey recalls, “We were standing in line in security, on the verge of tears because Wyatt was screaming and James was exhausted.”
A Fast Pass To The Gate
In the security line, one mother called over to Kinsey, “Here, jump in front of me! I know how it is.” Since one of her sons had fallen asleep in her arms, Kinsey was struggling to carry the group’s luggage. Another mother reached for Kinsey’s bags and helped her carry it all the way to the gate.
This woman told the grateful mom, “Don’t you worry, we’re going to make sure you’re going to get on that flight.”
A Hug From A Stranger
Once Kinsey had made it safely on the flight with her two boys, however, her youngest son started to scream before he eventually fell back asleep. Halfway through the flight, another woman approached Kinsey and said, “You look like you need a break.” This stranger held Kinsey’s son as he slept for the remainder of the flight and then delivered him to his father at the baggage claim!
Kinsey was so moved that she shared the story with Facebook. Since she got so much positive viral attention, Kinsey is directing folks to make a donation to a Kidd’s Kids, an organization that supports children with life-threatening diseases with a trip for their families to visit Disney World.
