Man Recruited An Entire Flight To Help Pull Off Epic Mid-Air Proposal


Proposing to someone is one of the most important questions a person can ask in their life, and sometimes a little backup help is needed to make it extra special. One man went to new heights to ensure his bride-to-be would feed extra special by including their entire flight in the plan.

The Note

His proposal plan all started with a note. The note simply filled passengers in on his plan and requested their help in capturing the moment on camera.

The card stated, “Hi, my name is Andrew and I’ll be proposing to my girlfriend Rachel on this flight! I’ve got a ring. I’ve got the ‘speech.’ What I don’t have is a photographer, so I have a favor to ask… Please take photos and videos of the proposal and send them to the number below. I would really appreciate it. Thank you.”

How it Happened

A passenger on the flight, known as @pezmonkey, provided his or her Reddit followers with a play by play in real time of what went down before, during, and after Andrew popped the big question in fall 2018. The groom-to-be boarded the hour and a half flight in a suit jacket, while his fiance ordered herself a Jack and Coke. The passenger described the couple as, “they look fresh-faced and ready to take on the world together.”
