Mom Struggling On Flight With Young Kids Gets Help In the Best Way

While preparing for takeoff, a man noticed a mom across the aisle struggling to get her young children to calm down in their seats. The man soon decided that he would have to do something about all this ruckus…

Too Much On Her Plate

Jessica Rudeen was traveling from Missouri to North Carolina to visit her mom. Only thing was that she also had her two young children in tow–– three-year-old Caroline and four-month-old Alexander. It was their first flight together, and the kids weren’t doing so well. Alexander was fussy since he hadn’t eaten in a while. But his cries didn’t compare to his big sister’s…

Young Caroline had been excited for the flight at first. However, her nerves got the best of her once she actually got on the plane. The three-year-old went into a full-on tantrum, begging to get off the plane. Her poor mom had no help and was going into panic mode, until, to her surprise, she received much-needed relief!

A Helping Hand

Her neighbor across the aisle, Todd Walker, could’ve easily chosen to ignore this fiasco. Instead, he felt obliged to help this struggling mom. The man got up and offered to hold Alexander so that Jessica could get Caroline buckled in her seat. Soon after, Todd also took time to color and watch a movie with Caroline so that the mom could feed her youngest child. With Todd, all of Caroline’s fear of flying quickly went away. He hung out with the toddler for the rest of the flight, keeping her happy and entertained the entire time!

What’s even better is that Todd was also on the family’s connecting flight, and was able to help Jessica and her kids get to their final destination. Jessica was definitely grateful. “I am blown away by God’s hand in this because we could have been placed next to anyone,” she shared on Facebook. “But we were seated next to one of the nicest men I have ever met in my life.”

A New Friend

Still taken aback by Todd’s kindness, Jessica asked friends and followers on Facebook for help in finding him. Social media sleuths were soon able to track him down! Jessica was able to get in contact with Todd’s wife and hopes to reconnect with Todd soon.
