Nanny Takes Down Package Thief And Earns Instant Hero Status
Anyone can be an everyday superhero, all it takes is a sense of what’s right and the courage to take action. A nanny in Everett, Washington is reaffirming people’s faith in the good of humanity while also demonstrating how much of a badass she is!
An Everyday Superhero
As online shopping becomes increasingly popular, there’s an ever-growing number of packages being left unattended on people’s doorsteps. For people lacking a moral compass of any kind, this represents an opportunity.
As nanny Kate Anderson was watching a 1-year-old baby, she noticed a “porch pirate” attempting to steal a package from her client’s doorstep. What she did next is the stuff of legends!
She Foiled The Getaway
Anderson saw a woman get out of a car, walk up to the house, walk away with a package, and put it in the vehicle. Immediately, she knew she had to do something. “HEY!” she yelled at the perp. “What the f*ck are you doing?”
The driver spooked and started to drive away before the package thief could get into the car, so she tumbled to the ground and Anderson went after her.
A Straight Baller
Anderson held the thief until the police arrived, and she was identified as 29-year-old Rhieanna Schindler, a woman with a history of arrests and an outstanding warrant. When questioned about her bravery, Anderson explained what helps her to do what’s right. “If someone is doing something wrong, I’m not afraid to put them in check,” she shared.
Tanya Smith owns the home that the nanny works at, and she said that Anderson is someone you don’t want to mess with. “She’s just like a straight baller, she’s amazing and doesn’t take any crap from anybody,” Smith said. If Anderson ever decides to stop being a nanny, she might just have a career in crime-fighting!
