PETA Messed With The Wrong Seafood Restaurant, And They’re Paying The Price In This Hilarious Twitter Battle

When it comes to Twitter, companies have been using the platform to roast one another for years. Whether its Wendy’s going head-to-head with Burger King over the best burger or Taco Bell disputing Illuminati claims, those who run the social media for these companies are filled with clever and creative burns. However, when the corporation PETA decided to face off with a seafood restaurant, they bit off more than they could chew!

So, PETA Is A Little Controversial

It’s no secret that PETA is one of the most controversial companies in the world. In a society dominated by meat-eaters, the organization has been making efforts to encourage veganism and vegetarianism. While this is a noble effort, PETA’s previous initiatives haven’t always been completely purposeful or effective. And recently, they messed with the wrong seafood joint!

Messing With The Wrong Seafood Restaurant

Recently, PETA decided to place up a billboard discouraging the consumption of seafood. Small problem: it was right next to a seafood restaurant, Jimmy’s Famous Seafood, who were not happy about PETA’s attack on their business. So, they decided to tweet at PETA with a picture of their headquarters, advising: “Come outside and show your face.” It soon kicked off a twisted Twitter battle!

Kicking Off An Epic Battle

In the days following, Jimmy’s Famous Seafood savagely tweeted at PETA several times, including pointing out hypocritical actions and sharing photos of their cooked crabs! Some people took offense to their tweets, to which Jimmy’s gladly roasted each individual back. Finally, PETA decided to hop in and try to put a stop to their taunting.

PETA’s Powerful Comeback

PETA tweeted at Jimmy’s that “no one wants to be boiled alive” and that they should add “#vegan options” to their menu. They also tried to dismiss the claim that their shelter has a 90% kill rate– with an article that their team wrote. Jimmy’s soon turned their touching response into great burn material and gave PETA a taste of their own medicine.

Who Really Won This War?

Jimmy’s called out PETA’s use of their own article and tweeted back third-party sources that revealed the true statistics behind PETA’s shelter. And as more PETA supporters jumped in to try to defend the company, Jimmy’s fired back with some hilarious insults. In the end, Jimmy’s and PETA both formulated some tough comebacks, and their feud is still ongoing. But something other than crabs got roasted at Jimmy’s this week!
