Photographers Shots Of Moscow In Winter Truly Look Like A Fairytale Land
Moscow Russia is known for its rich history and freezing cold winters. With the bitter temperatures and dreary weather, it’s probably the last place you would expect fantastic photography to be found. Thankfully, with the help of a camera and the hope of showing the world how beautiful the city can be, one photographer set out to document its beauty.
Lighting Up Red Square
Posting the images on Reddit under the username Кристина Макеева, this photographer captured 28 incredible photographs. The first one was taken in Red
Square, showing St. Basil’s Cathedral.
Through the cover of darkness, the vibrant lighting of the fireworks in the foreground gives way to the incredible design and majestic nature of the cathedral. Located in Red Square, this site is a popular tourist attraction for the millions of people who visit Russia every year.
The Spirit Of Downtown
Another image posted to Reddit is of downtown Moscow, in what looks to be a lighting display hanging over the city street. Taken at night once more, A colorful array of white and gold lighting hang off the buildings and illuminate their outline in perfect harmony.
“Before the New Year, my city turns into a Christmas Tale. I’m trying to show it in my style. I invite you to look at this magical beauty.” The photographer comments. “Moscow is my favorite city. It is amazing.”
Even the barren, colorless landscapes of the Russian forest can match up to the vibrant city colors captured during the holiday season. Listed on Bored Panda as image 21, a beautiful short of the white wood in the foreground of a set of buildings holds a special touch.
With the trees bending in the wind, lightly dusted with the soft touch of a freshly fallen snow, it is easy to see how this photographer wanted to share their world for the Internet to see. Whether it be the bright lights of the city or the majestic forests of Russia, there is no doubt the beauty of Russia is hard to miss with these fantastic photographs.
