This Senior Prank Was So Epic Even The Police Loved It

Senior pranks are as much a tradition in some schools as homecoming games and prom. Not all pranks work out quite so well as the one that the class of 2018 at Cumberland High School in Cumberland, Wisconsin, managed to pull off though. Their prank was so epic, even the police department had to give them props for their creativity and effort.

A Shocking Sight

When students and teachers started to arrive at school that Monday, they were in for quite a shocking sight – at first glance at least. It looked like a white car had plowed into the side of the school building, leaving only the back half visible and piles of brick rubble strewn about.

Closer inspection of the “accident” told a different story altogether, however. The gaping hole in the wall was actually made up of black tarp and duct tape. The car itself had been cut in half and was just resting up against the side of the building. The loose bricks had just been placed there for effect.

Hats Off

The local police department was so impressed with the fact that the seniors had managed to pull off such an elaborate prank without causing any damage to the school property that they gave them a shout out on the department’s Facebook page.

Facebook

“Hats off to the Cumberland High School Class of 2018 on your senior prank,” they wrote.  “Congratulations Class of 2018 on one of best senior pranks that Cumberland High School has seen. Congratulations to all the seniors who are graduating.”

The Right Reasons

The Facebook post on the police department and school district’s pages about the prank have since been shared over 3000 times. People from as far as Great Britain have praised both the students for their creativity and the police for their take on the situation.

“Hats off to Cumberland PD for having a sense of humor! People are too serious these days. Great prank! Sometimes things are just funny! Laugh people!” one person said.

“So creative! Great job at pulling off an artistic and safe senior prank! Way to go Cumberland P.D. for being supportive!!!” another commenter wrote.
