“Fear For My Safety”

Lauren hasn’t revealed more information about the events leading up to her escape. She said, “I don’t want to get into any of the specifics of that evening, other than to say that I was in a lot of fear for my safety.”

When no one would help her, Lauren eventually returned home to talk to her boyfriend before he took his own life.

“I Forgave Him”

What could be most surprising now is that Lauren forgave her now-deceased boyfriend. She spoke to him before he committed suicide, and she forgave him.

“I forgave him long before he was gone, and love him,” Lauren said. “I know he too forgave and loved me. I know I will fall short daily, but I hope I continue to choose to be loved. And I hope that for us all.”
