These Two Sisters Gave Birth on the Very Same Day

Two sisters Kristin Cronin and Jessica Lampert never thought they would get pregnant together or give birth on the very same day, but apparently that’s exactly what happened.

Lampert shared: “We knew we wanted our second children soon, but we weren’t planning on getting pregnant together. I found out two weeks before my sister that I was pregnant.”

The two sisters, who initially assumed that their babies’ birth dates would be two weeks apart, were surprised after their separate visits to the doctor revealed that they shared the same due date, which was on July 19.

Lampert recalled: “We were laughing. It was just like we couldn’t believe it. It was not planned.”

Coincidentally, Lampert and Cronin also happen to each have a three-year-old; however, the firstborn cousins have a six month gap between their ages. They do admit to enjoying their uncannily well-timed pregnancies, with Lampert saying: “It was nice. Once we got further along, we scheduled our appointments and would go to dinner together.”

As the final trimester of their pregnancies loomed, the sisters discovered that they likely needed C-sections. They then had their operations scheduled on the same due date as planned, with Cronin sharing: “We thought it’d be more fun to do it together.”

The siblings had their babies at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center. Lampert welcomed a baby girl, Blake Kay, at 8:15 a.m. and Cronin welcomed a baby boy, Justin Paul, at 10:40 a.m.

The sisters admitted they have always had a close relationship, revealing that the time of their engagements and weddings were not that far apart. They added that “Our first two are like brother and sister so they [the new babies] will definitely be super close. We see each other a lot.”

Already, the excited mothers are planning to share a party for their babies’ first birthday.

Adding to the good news that day, their sister-in-law also gave birth on the very same day.
