Two year old adorably caught walking through wet concrete

Jonathan Porter of Porter Concrete Construction Co. was waiting for the wet concrete to sit as he was doing a remodeling project for the Millaway family in Cleveland. When he came down to the basement to check, however, he was surprised to see two-year-old Izzadora Millaway with a sheepish smile on her face stuck ankle-deep in the wet cement.

Porter couldn’t believe the adorable sight so he made sure to snap a photo and post it on the company’s Facebook page with the caption: “Best concrete comedy!!! Normally we see cats and dogs run or walk in concrete… but not this time. This little girl was trying to go see her Mom and dad, so she came from upstairs to the basement to find them.”

Izzadora’s mother, Sara, was also extremely surprised and amused by the sight of her daughter standing right in the middle of wet concrete.

“We were kind of taken aback by the whole situation and we figured Jonathan was going to be extremely irritated because they were working hard but it was comical,” Sara shared in an interview with Today.

“She was trying to find us because we were taking too long talking to the workers,” Izzadora’s father, Brad, told the Inside Edition. “All she said was it felt weird and squishy in between her toes,” he added.

Brad was relieved that the concrete was still wet and Porter was still around, which made getting Izzadora “unstuck” and clean much easier. He told Today that if the construction crew had already left when the incident happened, he would most likely have called 911 because he would have had no clue what to do.

Porter and his team patiently re-laid the concrete but this time, they secured a spot where Izzadora and her brother can permanently leave their footprints.

Porter said, “It was a joy to see the young lady in the concrete and smiling. And we’re able to laugh at the picture.”
