Artists Imagined How Pop Stars Would Look Like Today If They Were Still Alive, And They Are Spot On

There’s a long list of celebrities who tragically died at a young age. From Kurt Cobain to John Lennon, many pop stars died from their high-risk lifestyles, suicides, and more. But they didn’t pass away before leaving an important legacy that is still remembered years later. Sachs Media Group partnered with photo restoration and manipulation company Phojoe to design a gallery of these remembered stars and how they would look today. Which is your favorite?

Kurt Cobain: Grunge Or Grandpa?

Kurt Cobain committed suicide on April 5, 1994. He battled with drug addiction for much of his adult life. He was only 27 years old and is a member of the infamous 27 Club — a group of celebrities who all died at the age of 27. An artist designed his idea of how Cobain would look today at 51 years old. Not bad!

Elvis Presley: Still The King

The King of Rock and Roll died on August 16, 1977, when he was only 42 years old. His drug use played an important role in his sudden death at his Graceland estate. But, despite his death, the King’s legacy has withstood the test of time. Music lovers still admire his rock music. An artist recently designed a portrait of how Presley would look today at 83 years old. The King looks good!

John Lennon: Imagine That

Beatles co-founder, John Lennon, was tragically assassinated on December 8, 1980, when he was only 40 years old. The music icon was killed by Mark David Chapman, but that didn’t stop people from loving his music. Nearly 40 years later, music fans still love The Beatles and Lennon’s commitment to inspire others to strive for peace. An artist recently painted a portrait of how the artist would look today at 77 years old. Imagine this!

Janis Joplin: Another Little Piece Of Her Life

Janis Joplin is another member of the 27 Club. She passed away from a heroin overdose on October 4, 1970, when she was only 27 years old. Nicknamed “Pearl,” Joplin was an American rock, soul, and blues singer and songwriter, but she died way too young. That’s why an artist designed a portrait of how Joplin would look today at 75 years old. She looks like she would be a cool grandma!

Jimi Hendrix: Classic Cool

Another member of the 27 Club, Jimi Hendrix died on September 18, 1970, from choking on his own vomit while he was asleep. Hailed as rock music’s greatest guitarist, Hendrix should have achieved more than he did in his 27 years, but at least we will always have his music. An artist painted a portrait of how he would look today at 75 years old. He looks nice!
