This Bear-Faced Chocolate Pomeranian Is NYC’s Most Adorable Art Critic, And He Was Made For The Job
Bertram the Pomeranian isn’t your typical web sensation canine. The pup has scores of fans across the Internet for his precious face, but he also rules the NYC art world. Exactly how did this abandoned, bear cub lookalike puppy rise to the top to be New York’s most famously adorable art critic?
Bertram’s Epic Internet Fame
Bertram is inarguably one of the cutest, most fluffy dogs on the internet. This bearish pup has garnered major attention online for his cub-like features. In addition to this, the canine is a viral star and an avid art gallery patron and critic in NYC. However, Bertram’s first weeks of life weren’t as uber-elegant as they are now.
The Pup’s Rocky Beginning
When Bertram was just five months old, a Pomeranian breeder dumped him at a shelter in Oklahoma. The pup was larger than the rest of the litter, and they were certain they wouldn’t be able to sell him. But luckily for Bertram, his dream owner was browsing Petfinder.com and fell in love with the cute canine. Bertram had no idea how luxurious his life was about to become.
Kicking Off Bertram’s NYC Dream
Kathy Grayson made a long trip from New York to Oklahoma to pick up the little Pomeranian and take him back home. Little did Bert know about the lavish life that was waiting for him in NYC. Grayson owned an art studio in the busy city and decided to bring along Bertram for a gallery opening the next day. She had no idea how perfectly Bertram would fit in with the high-class, artsy crowd.
An Adorably Introspective Art Critic
Ever since Bertram first got his taste of the art world, he’s never looked back! The “introspective” canine has been to “scores of art fairs” from New York to L.A., according to Grayson. Now, Bertram has become a household name for New York’s artists and critics. Many go to galleries just to witness the unique little pup.
Bertram’s Dedication To The Job
Bertram’s New York fans adore the calm, gentle, and cub-faced canine. Many fellow pet-owning art fans bring along their pets to galleries to play with Bert. However, Bertram takes his job seriously. He is always ready to review and critique art on his viral Instagram account, @bertiebertthepom. At the end of the day, the once-abandoned Bertram has become an essential, adorable part of NYC’s art scene.
