Running Out Of Time? Here Are 5 Easy DIY Thanksgiving Decorations

This year’s Thanksgiving holiday has crept up on us as a surprise. We don’t blame you if you’re scrambling to put together the meal. But one of the things you might be forgetting about is the decorations. Luckily, we have five simple Thanksgiving DIY decorations you can easily make the day before the holiday feast.

Printable Food Label Cards

If you’re having a large Thanksgiving feast, it’s best to identify the food. You don’t have to spend a lot of money on fancy food label cards. Instead, it’s easy to make your own. You can use Microsoft Publisher (or whichever you prefer) to design your free food labels, print them out at home, fold them, and you’re ready to go.

Thankful Table Runner

Your Thanksgiving dinner table should look impressive, but you don’t have to worry too much about the table runner. Using colored lined paper, cut the paper into shapes of various leaves. Then, line the paper leaves along the center of the table. For a special treat, your guests can write down what they’re most thankful for.

Festive Candleholders

You can turn old candleholders into festive decorations for your Thanksgiving feast. This is a simple way to let your guests know they’re at a Thanksgiving celebration. Look for inexpensive candleholders, spray-paint them black, and stack small pumpkin and gourd decorative items on the candleholders for a unified look.

Thankful Wreath

A “Give Thanks” wreath sets the appropriate welcoming tone for your guests as soon as they arrive. To make a simple wreath, decorate an already purchased or evergreen wreath with roses, pinecones, berries, and more. Add a “Give Thanks” tag to the wreath to decorate for this particular holiday.

Pumpkin Centerpiece

A centerpiece completes your Thanksgiving dinner table. It’s one of the first things your guests will see as they sit down at the table. To be festive, make a pumpkin centerpiece. Hollow out the pumpkin, then place a towel inside. Position decorative fall flowers and berries inside the pumpkin for the most festive centerpiece.
