Grandma Goes Viral After Sharing This Clever Pool Cleaning Hack
One of the best summertime activities is to relax by a swimming pool with your family and friends. But you may have noticed that some pools never seem to be clean; they tend to have a green tint or are constantly covered with dead bugs and tree leaves. That’s when this Ohio grandmother invented a creative hack to clean her swimming pool. All it took was a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
How Does It Work?
You have probably used a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to clean mildew from your bathtub or kitchen sink. The sponge easily removes every bit of dirt and scum, almost like “magic”. But you don’t have to restrict your Magic Eraser to your house.
Actually, the sponge also works in your pool. All you have to do is insert the sponge into your pool’s skimmer basket and watch the magic happen. It’s a creative hack that has saved Lisa Pack hours of pool maintenance.
“No Green In Sight”
Pack, 49, loves having her grandchildren over at her house during the summer. She enjoys watching them swim in the pool, but it’s hard work to maintain it. She used to spend 45 minutes every week, cleaning, and vacuuming the pool. With her Magic Eraser, however, she said goodbye to that strenuous work.
“My pool’s never been clear, it just doesn’t stay clear for some reason,” Pack explained. That’s a different case now with her new cleaning hack.
“There’s no green, there’s no slime on the bottom. There was no green in sight. It was amazing,” she said.
Sharing Her Idea
Pack knew others would relate to her struggle with cleaning her swimming pool. That’s why she shared her cleaning hack on Facebook, but she probably didn’t expect it to become a viral thread. Strangers all over the world commented on the post, thanking Pack for her creative idea. The tip has worked for everyone who’s tried it.
So, what are you waiting for? Try the new pool cleaning hack today, and make sure to let everyone know how well it worked.
