Best Humans We’ve Ever Seen Give Homeless Dogs Beds And Shelter At A Bus Station
Cold weather is no joke. Winter usually involves warm blankets and turning the heat up, but some are not so fortunate. Those who don’t have somewhere warm to sleep can really be putting their health and wellbeing at risk, especially when it comes to freezing temperatures. Abandoned animals are more likely to suffer during the harsh winter.
Bus stations provide temporary warmth for anyone looking to escape the cold. This invitation is hardly ever extended to homeless animals, but one bus station in Brazil has changed that.
The Barreirinha bus terminal in south Brazil has recently initiated a rather heartwarming idea. The Curitiba bus stop contains more than traveling passengers. The bus stop now houses several dog beds for pups that need a warm, safe place to sleep.
Employees put beds together for the dogs out of tires and warm blankets. The employees even formed a special bond with several pups that have stayed in the bus station.
The three dogs that have been taking a snooze in the bus station have been named Max, Pitoco, and Zoinho. Not only do these sweet pups have a warm place to sleep, but they are also provided with water and food.
A local politician named Fabiane Rosa was touched by the community’s thoughtfulness towards these homeless animals. She even took to Facebook to share touching pictures of the dogs enjoying their warm beds in the station.
“I never tire of praising the volunteers who provide these angels a warm bed in the cold, food every day, fresh water, security,” she wrote. Rosa’s Facebook post has had over 11,000 shares, and many are moved by this incredibly sweet gesture. This sweet story just goes to show, sometimes it takes a village!
“Congratulations to the terminal staff, everyone understands that these angels are there and have a right to be. So many companies in Curitiba could follow this example, adopting a pet. Of course, it is not ideal, but at least there are those who are looking after them,” Rosa stated.
