People Are Gushing Over This Police K-9 For Locating Two Lost Kids In 15 Minutes

Updated on

Can you imagine if your kids disappeared while playing in the woods? That’s the nightmare that two parents found themselves in when their children went missing in the dense woods of Virginia. They called the cops immediately but surprisingly, it wasn’t the police that found their little ones. Meet K-9 Bane, the police dog who found two missing eight-year-old kids within 15 minutes.

Lost Youth

On March 23, 2019, police at Powhatan Sheriff’s Office were alerted to two missing persons reports. Community members gathered to form a search party and spent 45 minutes looking for the two children that went missing in the woods.

The little boy and girl had lost their way during playtime in the forest. Young Chloe Reese told reporters, “We didn’t know what to do. So, like, we forgot which path we went down so we’re like going through different paths trying to find the way back to our house.” Annette Milo showed love on Facebook, “Love you K-9 BANE…..you are one cutie patootie.”

Anything Is Paw-sible

Lucky for those two young kids, K-9 Bane was on duty that night. Officers took K-9 Bane to search the children’s home first before unleashing him on the wooded trail. Within 15 minutes, he had found both of the missing children!

What do you give a police dog to thank him for his service? A Chick-fil-A ice cream, apparently. K-9 Bane enjoyed his sweet treat from the Powhatan Sheriff’s Office. Jennifer McGary ranted on Facebook, “Good Job Bane!!!! way to go good boy very, very, Good Boy ??”

One Tough Pup

As soon as Bane completed his very important mission, he was ready to go back to work. The sheriff’s office shared on Facebook that, “As soon as the children were home safe, he was back on patrol eager for the next call for service.”

The Powhatan Sheriff’s Office has started fundraising for their invaluable K-9 department, so you can do your part if you’d like to help this pawsome cause! Keeya Peña-Beckwith gushed on Facebook, “He looks like he’s smiling!”
