Mom Of Newborn Passed Out Goody Bags To Fellow Flight Passengers And The Gesture Went Viral

Flying on a plane can be very tiresome for everybody, especially babies and young children. One mom with a newborn figured she might have a rough time with her little one on a long flight. While she made sure to have everything she needed for her child, she also decided to make a special little gift for her fellow passengers just in case the baby disturbed them.

Long Flight Ahead

A passenger by the name of Dave Corona was one of many passengers on a flight from Seoul, Korea to San Francisco. The flight would be a long ten hours. Dave and his fellow passengers quickly settled in for the trip when they noticed something out of the ordinary.

A mom was roaming the aisles with her newborn baby in tow, passing out a small bag to passengers. When Dave received his gift bag, he was surprised by what was inside.

A Surprise Gift

The mom had made over 200 small goodie bags for everyone. It had a cookie, some candy and a pair of earplugs just in case her infant made too much noise.

The bag also included a sweet note on behalf of the mom’s four-month-old son, Junwoo. “Today, I am going to the US with my mom and grandmom to see my aunt. I’m a little bit nervous and scary because it’s my first flight in my life, which means that I may cry or make too much noise,” the note read. “I will try to go quietly, though I can’t make any promises. Please excuse me.”

Mixed Feelings

Dave posted the photos of the gift and note on Facebook and it quickly went viral. “A very touching gesture by the mother but as you know when you have kids expect the unexpected,” he wrote in the caption. “Not a peep out of the kid.”

Reactions on the internet were mixed. While people also thought the gift was sweet, others thought it was unnecessary. “That was a nice gesture, but I think people need to be more understanding on flights and not make parents and their children feel so unwelcome on flights. We were all babies at one point in life,” Facebook user Aubrey Anne commented on Dave’s post. Nonetheless, this mom’s fellow passengers were grateful.
