Groomer Posts Hilarious Poster In Response To Claims Of ‘Exorbitant Prices’

Updated on

It looks easy enough, washing and styling a dog’s hair, giving manicures and making pets look like a million dollars. Laura Gedgaudaite is a dog groomer in Copenhagen, who had a witty response to endless criticism about sticker shock for her services. Tired of continually responding to questions about why groomers charge so much, Laura posted a sign in defense of dog groomers worldwide. After releasing her cheeky poster which covered the top reasons groomers are costly, the Internet was howling over the “mic drop” on the subject.

Professional Problems

Laura’s poster readily showed why a groomer’s services don’t come cheap. Groomers are a lot more involved with their clients than hairdressers — battling tangled coats, fidgety canines, and getting downright dirty. Number 10: Your hairdresser doesn’t wash and clean your rear end. Number 9: You don’t go eight weeks without washing or brushing your hair.

Number 8: Your hairdresser doesn’t give you a sanitary trim. Number 7: Your hairdresser doesn’t clean your ears. Number 6: Your hairdresser doesn’t remove the boogies from your eyes. Number 5: You sit still for your hairdresser. Number 4: Your haircut doesn’t include a manicure or pedicure.

Necessary Treatments

Number 3: Your hairdresser only washes and cuts the hair on your head. Number 2: You don’t bite or scratch your hairdresser. And let’s have a drumroll please, for the last but not least important reason a groomer charges for their services. Number 1: The likelihood of you pooping on the hairdresser is pretty slim.

Copenhagen-based dog groomer, Laura Gedgaudaite, battles misconceptions about her job. She said, “People often believe I spend most of my day cuddling with fluffy puppies, but that’s not true.”

Dog Days

Reddit users like mrawac responded to the groomer’s poster within mere hours, “This! I would pay anything to get my dog properly washed and groomed. Tried it myself and it is chaos lol.”

Another user, igotmyliverpierced posted, “DIY grooming in my house led to 2 pissed off dogs and some destroyed carpet. The groomer is def worth it.”  Showing a dog groomer some much-needed appreciation for a job well done and paying their listed prices is valuable.
