Show business isn’t full of just actors, directors, and producers. Much of the movie magic is a direct result of the hard work of people with decidedly less glamorous jobs. On set, no one takes more risks with less reward than the stunt doubles of your favorite action stars.
Bobby Holland Hanton’s gnarliest stunts
Hanton isn’t just the stunt double for Chris Hemsworth — he’s one of the most sought-after stuntmen in the business and has performed fearless stunts in lots of your favorite action movies. But what are the epic stunts he’s most proud of? “On The Dark Knight Rises, when I was Bruce Wayne, I had to climb out of the prison he’s in and jump, miss the landing, fall 100 feet, and slam into the opposite wall,” Hanton said.
“It was one of my first ever high-falls, a 100-footer, which is quite a nice feat to achieve for a stunt performer.” He’s also proud of his work on Quantum of Solace. “I had to free jump — no safety wires, no safety mats — from a three-story ledge onto a balcony space while I was being shot at by a SWAT team.” Yikes.
Keanu Reeves and Jackson Spidell
If you’ve seen any of the John Wick movies, you probably found yourself in awe of the incredible stunts pulled off by the protagonist as he fights his way through countless trained assassins. While Keanu Reeves has demonstrated an uncanny dedication to his craft and a willingness to dive deep into the role, there are lengths even he won’t go to.
Here we see Keanu beside his stunt double on the set of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. In this scene, John Wick must escape motorcycle-riding attackers on horseback. You may be shocked to learn Reeves did many of these stunts himself. An interesting bit of trivia: The director of John Wick 1, 2, and 3 is Chad Stahelski, who used to be Reeves’ stunt double while shooting The Matrix. Perhaps that’s why the action sequences in the John Wick films look particularly amazing.
Halle Berry and Anisha Gibbs
The main protagonist isn’t the only one who needs to pull off incredible stunts in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum; even his friends have to spill blood occasionally. Such was the case for Halle Berry, who played Sofia in the 2019 action film. For many of these action sequences, Berry had to tag in Anisha Gibbs to perform the stunts.
Halle Berry was willing to do many of her own stunts in the film as well. For her training, who better to help out than her stunt double? Gibbs and Berry trained incredibly hard together. One of the challenges when filming the stunts in John Wick 3 was working with dogs, which requires many extra steps and off-camera bonding with the animals. It was a new experience for both Halle Berry and Anisha Gibbs, who are both seasoned vets of show business at this point.
Johnny Depp and Tony Angelotti
When dressed and made up, these two have an uncanny resemblance. Unlike some other stars, Depp has no qualms admitting that the prospect of doing his own stunts makes him queasy, stating that he’d much rather “leave that jumping about to the professionals.”
Angelotti has a decades-long resume in the industry, appearing in box-office hits like Batman: Forever, Starship Troopers, and The Amazing Spider-Man. Angelotti made waves by suing Walt Disney Company and producer Jerry Bruckheimer in 2007 for negligence following an injury he suffered rehearsing a stunt for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. It’s rare for stunt performers to sue, since many fear it will jeopardize their chances of being hired for future roles.
Emilia Clark and Rosie Mac
On season five of the hit HBO show Game of Thrones, Emilia Clark enlisted the help of Rosie Mac to stand in for her in some sequences. The pair have an uncanny resemblance. In addition to her ability to take on physically strenuous and dangerous stunts, Rosie Mac is a veritable jack-of-all-trades when it comes to show business.
Only 22 years old, the British-born woman is a model, dancer, actress, and entrepreneur — she founded the Mac Models & Casting Agency. But it doesn’t stop there. Mac recently signed a recording contract and plans to put out an album soon. That’s quite the career trajectory. Undoubtedly, we can expect to see (and hear) much more from this rising star.
Chris Evans and Sam Hargrave
Even Captain America needs help from time to time. Who would’ve thought? When Chris Evans needs to fight his way out of a situation or leap from a building, star stuntman Sam Hargrave has his back. Hargrave has an extensive résumé — working on projects from Scrubs to Deadpool 2.
Like many other stunt doubles, Hargrave has branched out. He’s often worked behind the scenes as both a fight and stunt coordinator. These jobs require a lot of martial arts training in order to get the realistic feel and nail-biting action we’ve come to expect from our favorite action films.
Tom Hardy and Jacob Tomuri
Audiences were left stunned by the jaw-dropping action sequences in Mad Max: Fury Road. Similarly, we’re left stunned by how much Tom Hardy looks like his stunt double, Jacob Tomuri. The pair have since worked together on several other occasions, including on the critically acclaimed 2015 thriller The Revenant.
Hardy is full of nothing but respect for his doppelgänger, demanding that Tomuri appear beside him in promotional interviews, and pouring on the praise every chance he gets. In Legend, a film about the Kray twins (both played by Hardy), Tomuri acted as the stand-in opposite Hardy. Perhaps it’s time for Tomuri to begin starring in movies himself.
Ben Affleck and Rich Cetrone
Rich Cetrone is another legend in the stunt business. So far he’s worked as Ben Affleck’s double in five blockbuster movies, including Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League, and Suicide Squad. You may have noticed that even with Affleck and Cetrone’s hair and beards styled the same way, the two would probably never be mistaken for each other.
Filmmakers rely on clever editing and post-production magic to pull off the deception. It’s easier when the hero wears a mask. “I jump out of the Batmobile, rip off the cowl, walk behind a wall to start walking up the steps — Ben’s standing there, and he takes the rest of the way up to the Batcave,” Rich recalls of a scene in Batman v Superman.
Sebastian Stan and James Young
Below, Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes) and his stunt double, James Young, take a break from filming Captain America: Civil War to pose for the ’gram. If you’ve seen the movie, you already know the caliber of stunts demanded from these performers — and Young pulled triple duty on this one — he was also Iron Man’s stunt double and the movie’s fight coordinator.
With so much money on the line, the Marvel Cinematic Universe films require the best in the business. Marvel and Disney spent $250 million making Captain America: Civil War. The gamble paid off — the film grossed over $1.15 billion worldwide.
Chris Pratt and Tony McFarr
Here Chris Pratt (Star-Lord) poses with his longtime stunt double, Tony McFarr. Tony’s worked with Pratt on many other blockbusters as well, including Jurassic World, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and Passengers. He was also Jon Hamm’s stunt double in the comedy Tag.
For years, many in the film industry have called for a “Best Stunts” Oscar award to recognize the stunt performers and coordinators that take the incredible risks that add the thrills to our movie experience. Even when actors like Tom Cruise do their own stunts, they depend on the unsung stunt crew to make sure they stay safe. Do you think it’s time for a Best Stunts Oscar?
Zac Efron and Jordan Scott
Jordan Scott is another popular stuntman for the stars. When working with Zac Efron on the set of Dirty Grandpa, a photo of him went viral for a rather unexpected reason. One scene of the movie required Efron’s character to ride a motorcycle naked. Efron wasn’t comfortable showing off his goods, so …
Scott had to step — er, ride in to the rescue. It’s actually quite common for famous actors to have body doubles in scenes that require them to strip down. Based upon the public’s reaction to seeing the star and his double side by side, people weren’t too disappointed by the news.
Reese Witherspoon and Marilee Lessley
It’s pretty hard to tell Reese Witherspoon apart from her doppelgänger, Marilee Lessley. The pair have worked together for many years. Lessley performed stunts for Witherspoon in the film Water for Elephants, which follows the story of a circus veterinarian (Robert Pattinson) who falls in love with the ringmaster’s wife (Witherspoon).
Marilee Lessley has also worked as a stand-in and double for Reese Witherspoon on several other occasions. A stand-in is frequently used on movie sets for the crew to test the lighting and focus the scene before shooting it with the actor or actress. This requires the stand-in to wear the same clothes and makeup as the movie star and act out the scenes, even though they don’t appear on camera. Stand-ins typically work long hours with few breaks — it’s not easy work by any means.
Jared Padalecki and Mike Carpenter
Sam Winchester (played by Jared Padalecki) and his brother Dean (Jensen Ackles) get in all kinds of trouble on Supernatural, but it’s Mike Carpenter who takes the real risks. Carpenter’s had a long career as a stuntman and a stunt coordinator, working on a variety of films and television shows.
Padalecki and Carpenter seem to have a lot of fun on the set of Supernatural — Padalecki tweeted the picture above with the caption, “He’s… Right beside me…. Isn’t he?” Carpenter also performed stunts in place of Liam Neeson in the naturalistic action-drama The Grey, and worked as a stuntman on Elf, Psych, Lucifer, I, Robot, Man of Steel, and many more.
Margot Robbie and Ingrid Kleinig
While filming Suicide Squad, Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn) needed a helping hand shooting the movie’s more dangerous scenes. For this, producers called in Ingrid Kleinig, a veteran performer responsible for bringing some of your favorite movie stunts to life. Kleinig has appeared in everything from Superman Returns and Mad Max: Fury Road to The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
Ingrid Kleinig first gained national attention when she swung hundreds of feet above the crowd at the 2000 Olympics Opening Ceremony. She comes from a family of professional drivers, which carved out a good niche for her as one of Hollywood’s few female stunt drivers.
Amy Schumer and Meredith Richardson
Here comedian Amy Schumer poses with her stunt double Meredith Richardson. So far, the pair have worked together on two movies — I Feel Pretty and Snatched. But Richardson has performed tons of stunts in other films as well. If you’ve seen Black Panther, Thor: Ragnarok, or The Spy Who Dumped Me, you’ve seen her handiwork.
Many of Richardson’s stunts require her to stay in incredible shape. By watching her demo reel, you can see many of the incredible feats the fearless stuntwoman is capable of. Being an elite stunt performer requires courage and athletic ability — something Richardson clearly has in spades.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Tanoai Reed
It takes a special breed of man to perform stunts for “The Rock.” For years now, the man for the job has been Johnson’s own cousin, Tanoai Reed. Being The Rock’s stunt double has its perks — the two have great chemistry and a strong friendship. Johnson even bought Reed a fancy new pickup truck to thank him for years of hard work.
It has some downsides, too. Tanoai Reed’s suffered some cringe-inducing injuries, including fractured ribs, a broken shin, a torn MCL, and even shrapnel caught in his arm. No one said the job would be easy. Still, Reed says it’s all worth it. “I’ve been doing it for 25 years and I still have these moments where I pinch myself and think, I can’t believe I’m getting paid to do this,” he told GQ.
Bruce Willis and Stuart Wilson
Bruce Willis is one of Hollywood’s greatest and most recognizable action stars. Few people can pull off the type of stunts required in these blockbuster flicks. That’s when they call in Stuart Wilson. Like many other sought-after stunt performers in the business, Wilson spreads his talents: He’s also an accomplished stunt coordinator and fight choreographer.
Wilson doesn’t mince words when talking about how hard the job is. “You get used to being in pain or not being 100 percent,” he said of his job. “You just learn to live with it.” Noone said the job would be easy, but that seems like a sacrifice few would be willing to take.
Kate Beckinsale and Alicia Vela-Bailey
Alicia Vela-Bailey is an A-list stuntwoman who is quickly moving her way up the ranks to leading lady. She first appeared on the show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Adrianne Palicki’s (Bobbi Morse) stunt double. Later she acted as Alisha Whitley, one of the most menacing villains on the show.
When Kate Beckinsale reprised her role as Selene in Underworld: Awakening and Blood Wars, Alicia Vela-Bailey performed as stunt double for the British actress. Vela-Bailey also performed stunts for James Cameron’s Avatar, and has been hired on to do the same for the upcoming sequel and third installment. Keep an eye out any time Sigourney Weaver or Zoe Saldana’s characters see some action.
Chris Hemsworth and Bobby Holland Hanton
It’s pretty hard to stand in Thor’s shadow, but Bobby Holland Hanton has been doing it for many years. Surprisingly, it’s not the stunts themselves that Hanton finds most grueling about standing in for Hemsworth — it’s making himself look like the movie star. “Chris is already huge, he’s much bigger than me naturally so I have to train twice a day,” Hanton said. “It’s a job in itself.”
While many guys admit they’d love to look like Chris Hemsworth, a precious few are willing to put the work in, not to mention all the while being expected to leap out of the occasional building. A former gymnast, Hanton is used to a rigorous lifestyle. It also helps that Hanton and Hemsworth are more than just look-alikes — they share a similar sense of humor and get along exceptionally well.
Shailene Woodley and Alicia Vela-Bailey
Alicia Vela-Bailey also channeled Tris Prior when performing stunts for Shailene Woodley on the set of Divergent. Naturally athletic, Vela-Bailey became an elite gymnast at a young age, later pivoting to dance. Her first role in film came when she auditioned to be Milla Jovovich’s stunt double in Ultraviolet.
There is no established training program for a stunt performer, but generally most follow a similar career path. To become a stuntman or stuntwoman, you need to be incredibly athletic, which is why most have extensive martial arts, gymnastics, or stage combat training. Some stunt performers focus on one area of expertise, while others take more of a jack-of-all trades approach to ensure they can seize any opportunity.
Reese Witherspoon and Marny Eng
When she was filming the movie Hot Pursuit, Reese Witherspoon credited Marny Eng with making her “look tough.” Eng is a veteran of the film industry, first appearing in the 1993 TV movie A Stranger in the Mirror as Lori Loughlin’s stunt double. She has also worked on films such as Godzilla, Inception, and Death Wish.
She’s since worked her way up to becoming one of the most sought-after stuntwomen and stunt coordinators in Hollywood. In 2015, she became president of the members-only stunt performer agency, Stunts Canada, based in Burnaby, British Columbia. She has also been nominated for two Taurus World Stunt Awards.
Michael B. Jordan and Aaron Toney
Aaron Toney has gotten the call to perform stunts in dozens of blockbusters, but you probably know him best from his work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He has doubled as both Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) and Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman). Those are some pretty impressive characters to double for!
He’s also performed stunts as Falcon (played by Anthony Mackie) in Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War. These roles require him to stay in peak physical condition to perform the dangerous tasks required. Looking through Toney’s Instagram, you can see the awesome hard work and dedication being an A-list stuntman requires.
Andrew Garfield and William Spencer
Here we see A-list actor Liam Hemsworth and his stunt double on the set of The Amazing Spider-Man. William Spencer is the man performing many of the jaw-dropping stunts in the blockbuster hit. He’s also a professional skateboarder, which makes perfect sense — being a stuntman and skateboarder require similar skill sets.
First, you have to be fearless — both trades require a willingness to throw yourself in harm’s way. You also have to stay in great shape to be able to pull off the incredible feats required of you. Last but not least, you need to have a high tolerance for pain for when things don’t always go exactly according to plan.
Taylor Lautner and Gabriel Nunez
While shooting the film Tracers, Taylor Lautner was determined to do all his own stunts, and he did. Well, almost. He had to tap out when it came time to film the epic parkour escape scene. Gabriel Nunez, who bears quite a resemblance to the star, tagged in to take his place.
Stunt doubles have to be willing to work long hours — often shoots will start before dawn and extend well into the night. The job requires an intense amount of both physical and mental fortitude when stuntmen and stuntwomen have to repeat daring sequences over and over to get the perfect shot.
Ellie Kemper, Kara Rosella, and Abby Nelson
Seeing triple? Ellie Kemper of The Office and The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt fame took a pause from filming to strike a pose with two of her stunt doubles. Kara Rosella and Abby Nelson both have long résumés. Kara’s performed stunts in Blue Bloods, Gotham, and Jessica Jones, while Abby is credited with performing stunts in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Deuce, and Black Swan.
Some stunt doubles work under three-day minimum contracts, getting paid at least $2,347 or $2,556 depending on the length of the show. That’s pretty good money, but keep in mind these stunt doubles work long hours and take incredible risks. Elite stuntmen and stuntwomen like the ones on this list can likely negotiate better rates — but it all depends on their talent, fearlessness, and dedication.
Amber Rose Revah and Aja Frary
Dinah Madani (played by Amber Rose Revah) took a lot of abuse over the course of the Netflix adaptation of Marvel’s The Punisher, and performed many daring feats. To get the shots required of the show, Aja Frary was called in to take the punches from Billy Russo (Ben Barnes).
Frary competed as a track and field athlete in college, taking home a Division I NCAA bronze medal. She was injured just before her Olympic Trial, which crushed her hopes of competing in the 2004 Olympics. While healing in New York City, she was contacted by a college friend who knew she’d make a perfect stunt double. Her first film was American Gangster. Since then, she’s appeared in dozens of blockbusters and hit television shows.
Chandler Riggs and Emily Brobst
When child actors are required to play characters navigating dangerous situations, it can be especially tricky for show producers to get the shots they need. They can’t exactly act another kid to jump out of a building! In The Walking Dead, Emily Brobst, a 29-year-old stunt performer was called in to be 14-year-old actor Chandler Riggs’ (Carl Grimes) stunt double.
Fans of The Walking Dead will have noticed how much the young actor grew over the course of the show. As he hit a growth spurt, producers had to swap out his stunt double for a taller performer. Riggs’ first stunt double was Savana Jade Wehunt — she played the Governor’s zombie daughter too!
Sofia Vergara and Tammie Baird
The beautiful star of Modern Family poses below with her stunt double, Tammie Baird. Baird’s had a long career as a stunt double, first appearing in the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt-starring film Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Fans of David Lynch’s Twin Peaks may recognize her for her acting role as Lorraine in several of the newer episodes.
It sounds a bit morbid, but stunt doubles aren’t only used because they’re skilled — it’s also a financial calculation on the part of the producers. If the movie or television show’s lead were to hurt themselves, finding a replacement actor or delaying a shoot can be costly for the studio. Even if an actor is determined to do all their own stunts, the producer has final say.
Lena Dunham and Myra ‘Dakota’ Brown
Girls actress and comedian Lena Dunham shouted out her stunt double Dakota Brown on Instagram. “Any time I need to crash a car of fly off a bike, this bad b—- appears <3,” Dunham wrote. Indeed, Brown has been crashing cars and flying off bikes for a long time — she started her career as a stunt double in a 2001 episode of Law & Order: SVU.
The average salary for a stunt double is between $62,000 to $70,000 per year, but elite stunt performers can pull upwards of $200,000, though this is rare. Each movie or television show has a stunt budget, which pays for the stunt performers, coordinators, insurance, and other stunt-related costs.
Lily Rabe and Kimberly Shannon Murphy
Kimberly Shannon Murphy is another stuntwoman that is in high demand for blockbuster films and the hottest TV shows. Below is a picture of her posing with Lily Rabe in matching nun outfits on the set of American Horror Story, for season 2. That role required her to fall backwards from the ceiling of a church.
She’s also doubled Kaitlin Olson on The Mick and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, as well as Cameron Diaz alongside Tom Cruise in Knight and Day. Proving she can do it all, she even tumbled through a window in the blockbuster postapocalyptic thriller I Am Legend.
Olivia Munn and Julia Rekaikyna
X-Men: Apocalypse promised to introduce a new integral mutant to the world, and fans of the X-Men comic books could not hide their excitement. Olivia Munn was cast to play Psylocke — a mutant with telepathic and psychokinetic powers. However, Munn made some controversial comments that left a bad taste in some fans mouths.
In an interview, Munn said that she performed all her own stunts while filming the movie, but later posted a picture with her stunt double, Julia Rekaikyna. This caused some angry fans to accuse Munn of taking credit for things she didn’t do, while others contend that her comments were taken out of context. Regardless, Rekaikyna’s hard work shouldn’t be overshadowed by the controversy. Check out her stunt reel to see what she’s capable of.
Daniela Ruah and Kimberly Shannon Murphy
NCIS: Los Angeles star Daniela Ruah strikes a boxing pose in the mirror. Hold on, that’s Kimberly Shannon Murphy standing beside her! Being a stunt performer comes with all sorts of risks, so it is vital they protect themselves on and off the job.
Most stunt performers are members of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), a union that looks after performers and makes sure they’re being paid and treated fairly. Listing your skills when you apply as an extra will help put you in touch with the stunt coordinator who may be able to get you your first union job.
Lucy Lawless and Zoë Bell
Zoë Bell is another veritable legend in the stunt business. She even played a version of herself in the Quentin Tarantino-directed grindhouse film Death Proof, a movie about a deranged killer that drives a “death-proof” stunt car. Below, she poses with Lucy Lawless on the set of Xena: Warrior Princess.
She’s worked with Tarantino on several other occasions, including both Kill Bill films, Inglorious Basterds, and Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood. Bell also performed as Cate Blanchett’s stunt double in Thor: Ragnarok, and she has worked on The Final Destination and Iron Man 3, to name a few. That’s quite an impressive list!
Elijah Wood and Kiran Shah
In the photo below, Elijah Wood and his scale double Kiran Shah stand side by side on the set of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Elijah Wood famously plays the lead role of Frodo Baggins — a hobbit from The Shire who embarks on a great adventure to save the earth from evil. The most notable characteristic of hobbits (save perhaps the hairy feet) is their short stature.
Whenever a scene is required where one of the hobbits stands next to a man or something of similar stature, a scale double would be brought in to preserve the illusion of a disparity in height between characters. Kiran Shah has had a long career in show business as both an actor and stunt double in many blockbuster films, including Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
Hugh Jackman and Richard Bradshaw
Wolverine is one of the most beloved and recognizable comic book superheroes of all time. Whatever your opinion is of the X-Men film franchise, even the harshest of critics tend to agree that Hugh Jackman did an excellent job bringing the character to the big screen.
Let’s face it — while Logan and company’s stories are intriguing, a large percentage of movie-goers show up to these films for the action. The death-defying stunts that raise audiences’ pulses were made possible by the man above, Richard Bradshaw. A former professional fencer and diver at an oil rig, Bradshaw is fearless and talented in practically every aspect of the business — combat, acrobatics, and driving.
Gwendoline Christie, Rory Mcann, Mark Slaughter, and Gyula Tóth
Game of Thrones fans will remember the epic showdown between Brienne of Tarth and Sandor Clegane (The Hound) at the end of Season four. The two (non) knights dealt shattering blows to one another on a hillside as Podrick Payne and Arya Stark watched on.
While Gwendoline Christie (Brienne) and Rory Mcann (The Hound) worked hard to get the necessary shots, their stunt doubles accepted most of the danger involved. Gyula Tóth doubled Rory Mcann while Mark Slaughter doubled Gwendoline Christie. Both stunt performers have appeared in many epic roles. In fact, both performers doubled Adam Driver (Kylo Ren) in the latest Star Wars trilogy.
Kate Winslet and Sarah Franzl
Titanic is the third-highest grossing film of all time, only trailing another James Cameron film, Avatar, and Gone With the Wind. When it was released in 1997, audiences hadn’t seen anything quite like it. The tear-jerker was as packed with romance as it was with action, and plenty of stunt doubles were required to bring the epic tragedy to the big screen.
Kate Winslet was doubled by Sarah Franzl, who was already a veteran in the stunt business 22 years ago. Since then, she hasn’t slowed down — performing as a stunt double and coordinating stunts in tons of blockbuster films. If you’ve seen The Dark Knight, 101 Dalmatians, or Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, you’ve seen her work.
Mark Wahlberg and Dan Mast
Mark Wahlberg has become as celebrated for his enviable physique as he is for his acting chops. Typically, his films are action packed — meaning they require a great deal of work from the stunt team. When audiences flock to the latest Michael Bay flick, they expect to be dazzled by the explosive action and Transformers: Age of Extinction was no exception.
For Wahlberg’s stunt double, producers enlisted Dan Mast, a proven veteran who bears a striking resemblance to Marky Mark. With a resume dating back to 1985 on The Eastenders, Mast clearly has both the track record and physique to work with some of the hardest working actors and directors in Hollywood.
Brie Larson, Renae Moneymaker, and Joanna Bennett
When Brie Larson accepted her MTV Movie & TV Award for Best Fight for Captain Marvel, she brought out her two stunt doubles that made the epic scenes possible. “I could not have made this film without them,” Larson said. “They are the baseline of who she is. They are the living embodiment of Captain Marvel.”
Renae Moneymaker and Joanna Bennett have worked together for a long time. In fact, Moneymaker says they grew up together, admiring strong female archetypes like Lara Croft (from Tomb Raider). It’s amazing they were able to make a career bringing these characters to life to inspire future generations.
