Viral Video Of Toddlers Friends Running To Greet Each Other Is One Of The Purest Things Out There
A video of Maxwell and Finnegan, two adorable toddlers, running towards each other in an excited hello has stolen the hearts of social media users around the world.
A Heartwarming Video
Two-year-olds Maxwell and Finnegan are incredibly close friends and have known each other for about a year. In a viral video, the toddlers run towards each other and give each other a huge hug while squealing in excitement. They hadn’t seen each other for two days and were ecstatic to see each other. Maxwell’s father, Michael Cisneros, captured the heartwarming moment on camera and posted the video on Facebook with the caption “I have no idea how to make things go viral, for those that do……please share. This is just so beautiful. Finnegan + Maxwell= BESTIES!!! If we could all be like this.” He tagged Oprah, The Today Show, NBC New York, and Ellen. Although Cisneros doesn’t know how to make videos viral, this beautiful video has been shared on Facebook 10,000 times and has almost 2,000 comments.
Partners In Crime
Cisneros told ABC News about the inseparable pair and claims that these two are partners in crime, and it’s hard to deny his assertion with the excitement on their faces. The toddlers’ parents are also friends, so the pair gets to spend a lot of time together although it’s not enough for them. Cisneros said, “When they are away from each other, they are always asking about one another. They go to music class together, Dana Banana (a weekly music event) and they love to dance—both are excellent dancers.” In addition to dancing together, Maxwell and Finnegan also play tennis with Finnegan’s parents with their own gear, which is adorable. Cisneros said, “There’s not anyone else that comes close to Finnegan’s status in Maxwell’s eyes.”
A Beautiful Message
In an interview with CNN, Cisneros said that he usually doesn’t post personal things on Facebook, but he wanted to share the video. He says that “with all the racism and hate going on, I just think it’s a really beautiful video. The reason that it’s getting attention because it is with a little black boy and a little white boy…If it can change someone’s mind, you know, or just change their view on things, then it’s totally worth it.” Cinsernos felt the need to share the love between these two friends to show something other than the hatred and controversy. From the thousands of comments posted on social media sites, it seems that Cisneros message impacted people while causing them to smile.
Social Media Impact
Many of the comments from Facebook users focus on the innocence and happiness on the toddlers’ faces when they see each other. One user wrote, “Our innocence is so precious. Why we lose it is beyond me. To become an adult? The World would be such a beautiful place if we could remain in…this precious state. Michael D Cisneros, your heart shines through this child.”

Some users were worried about the toddlers running on a New York City sidewalk and there are some people who believe that the video is staged. Cisneros denies this claim and feels lucky enough to film the toddlers’ interaction. Cisneros is happy to “spread the love and to show people that kind of love and beauty in the world.” The one thing many people agree on is that they can’t stop watching this video because of how adorable it is!
